CURRENT INC. ANNOUNCES
C.C. MARINE AS CANADIAN
DISTRIBUTOR FOR SILENT RUNNING
SR 1000 MARINE COATING
Current Inc. is proud to announce that CC Marine
in Toronto Canada will be distributing and selling
Silent Running SR 1000 Marine Coating. Silent
Running is a replacement/alternative for the
heavy foam products in use today.
Brian Prinz, president of Current Inc. states that,
“Getting into the Canadian market helps to reinforce our products viability and provides builders,
architects as well as boat owners with an alternate
solution to noise and vibration problems”.
Silent Running is a liquid coating that utilizes a
space-age viscoelastic polymer system that virtually eliminates unwanted vibration and sound
problems. The coating absorbs vibration, the root
cause of unwanted noise, and converts it into low-grade heat which is then dissipated throughout
the applied surface.
Silent Running has its U.S. Coast Guard and
European Type Approval and is Lloyd’s certified.
Silent Running is a nontoxic, water-based,
vibration absorbing material that goes on easily
with a brush, roller, or spray gun. It takes up less
space and weighs less than existing sound proofing technologies such as mats and wraps.
Just paint it on and feel the difference. For more

WIND INDICATOR DISCOURAGES
BIRDS FROM LANDING
Masthead wind vanes are an important item to
have onboard. With the ability to seek out wind
direction, sailors can
adjust to conditions.
However, pesky birds
often find a boat's
vane to be the perfect
landing spot. Even if
perched for a short
time, a heavier bird
can bend or break this valuable equipment. To
help protect its popular 15" Windex Vane, Davis
Instruments includes a 10" bird-proof spike.
Extending above the vane, the safety spike prevents birds from settling. With a sapphire suspension bearing, the Windex 15 is sensitive to wind
as low as 2/10ths knots and responds when a
breeze changes. Its durability has been tested in
wind tunnels up to 80 knots.
The vane features an easy-to-read, fully
adjustable tacking tab system. For cruising at
night, reflector tape on the vane and tacking tabs
create high visibility.
